📋 Tasks of our domestic workers

The increase in the price of the service voucher since 1 January 2025 is leading some customers to opt for fewer hours of household help per week. We fully understand this choice and respect your decision.

But we would like to kindly but clearly inform you about what this means in practice for your household help:

Fewer hours = fewer tasks. That is a reality we must respect together.

Our domestic workers are motivated and hardworking employees. We expect quality work from them and for that they also need sufficient time.

What does this mean concretely for you?

The range of tasks will be adapted to the number of hours available
Your household helper cannot do the same work in half the time
We ask for understanding and realistic expectations from our customers
If you have any questions about the division of tasks, you can always contact your job coach

Do you feel that the task package does not fit well with your hours?

Please contact your job coach or the office - together we will find a viable solution!

📅 Public holidays May 2026

May is a holiday-rich month. Below is an overview of the officialële holidays and what this means for our services.

1 May - Labour Day (public holiday - no services)
14 May - Ascension Day (public holiday - no services)
25 May - Pentecost (public holiday - no services)

Friday, May 15, is an ordinary working day.
The office will be open and our staff will work as usual — there will be no bridging.
Your household help will arrive on May 15 as scheduled.

☀️ Pass on major holidays by 31 May

Summer holidays are fast approaching! In order to make a smooth and timely planning for the summer months, we ask you to communicate your holiday period to our office as soon as possible - and preferably before 31 May 2026.

Let us know your holiday period beforeóór May 31, 2026.
This will allow us to adjust the schedule for your household help in time.

How do you report your holidays?

Contact the office by email vakantie@dcobeerse.be, either through the client portal or through the Alundi DC application
State the full start and end date of your absence
The earlier you communicate this, the better we can fine-tune the schedule!

👩‍💼 Your job coaches - who are they and how do you reach them?

At DCO Beerse vzw, we work with job coaches who form the link between you as a client and our employees. They are responsible for the guidance, planning and support of our employees.
