The new rates are:
- €12 per service voucher for the first 175 vouchers per family per year.
- €13 per service voucher for vouchers 176 to 300 per family per year.
In addition, the Flemish Government has decided to introduce a cap of 300 service vouchers per family per year. This corresponds to approximately 6 hours of domestic help per week on an annual basis.
Exceptions are expected to be made for single people and those with disabilities, but there is currently no definitive confirmation of this. The government is also still investigating whether customers exceeding the limit of 300 vouchers will be able to purchase additional hours and, if so, at what rate these will be offered.
It is important to note that there is no point in buying up extra service vouchers on a large scale at this stage. According to current information, Pluxee will reset the service voucher balance to zero at the end of 2026. Customers will therefore need to purchase new service vouchers for services provided in 2027 at the rates applicable at that time.
We ask that, in the event of enquiries from customers, you always refer them to the office. Do not discuss the price change or the new rules yourself. This will help us avoid misunderstandings and ensure we can provide customers with accurate information.
At present, there is no cause for concern. It is still too early to know what impact these measures will have on our customers, our staff and on DCO Beerse vzw as an organisation.
Over the coming weeks and months, we will monitor this closely and keep you informed in good time once there is more clarity.
Thank you in advance for your professional approach and daily commitment.
Wim Woestenborghs – Director of DCO Beerse vzw
