Welcome to our February newsletter! As the shortest month of the year dawns, we look ahead to a period full of new opportunities and fresh ideas.
Winter is coming to an end and we notice that the days are already getting longer, a perfect time to look ahead and forge new plans.
In this edition, you will find out more about our new training course on 'Ironing', the new arrangements for 'Permitted Absence' to be recorded as well as the new sitting in the office by the union delegates is covered.

Every employee can request Permitted Absence. Authorised absence is unpaid leave and a favour of the employer, not a right of the employee. It is important that a written agreement is made between employee and employer beforehand. What is new is that from this year, 2026, the maximum duration TA will be capped at 2 consecutive weeks.
From 2026 onwards, we will organise ééonce a quarter a sitting moment at the office where you can have direct discussions with your union representatives within our company.
As a company, we attach great importance to a good social dialogue between employer, employees and trade unions. With these quarterly sitting sessions, we want to make it easier for everyone to find their way to the union for all your questions, concerns or suggestions.

A new year means new leave entitlements. The leave entitlements for 2026 can be read on your January 2026 pay slip.
Important: a number of employees have a limited balance because they started in autumn 2025 and to date have not yet delivered their holiday certificate from the National Annual Holiday Office to the office. Herewith, therefore, an appeal to those colleagues’s to get this in order soon. This can be done via HR@dcobeerse.be
As you know, we have been charging our customers a customer contribution since 1 July 2025. We would like to inform you that the amount of this fee will remain unchanged in 2026. This means that customers already paying a contribution will continue to pay the same amount as before. For your daily work, nothing will change, but it is good that you are aware of this should a customer ask questions about it. In case of any questions, customers can always contact our office as well as all information is on our website Customer contribution | DCO Beerse.
Should the customer contribution change in the future, we will communicate this in good time –at least three months before its introduction – both to our employees and customers. This gives customers enough time to take this into account in their planning and budget.
We would like to inform you about an important aspect of certain employment contracts within our firm, namely the 'Contract with conditions'.
Last period, May 2025 to date, we have noticed a significant shift in the service voucher market. Due to the increased cost of service vouchers and the general increase in longevity, we see that more and more clients are forced to reduce their hours or even end their cooperation with our office. This is a development we cannot ignore and one that directly impacts our scheduling and staffing levels.
We feel it is important to communicate transparently about this and ensure that everyone understands how this may affect employment contracts.
A 'Contract with conditions' is a contract with an increase in hours at the request of the domestic worker whether or not by a self-introduced client by the worker.
When a client quits, ends the cooperation with our office and we cannot find a replacement client for you and the employee has a 'Contract with conditions' then :
You always have the option to maintain or extend your contract by bringing a new client to our office yourself.
