Introduction of customer contribution from 1 July 2025
Dear customer,
After years of not having to charge a customer contribution, we are forced to charge a customer contribution within DCO Beerse vzw from 1 July 2025 like many other service cheque companies.
We realise that this is not a nice message for you as a customer of DCO Beerse vzw. The decision to introduce a customer contribution has long been postponed by our company. However, the following factors have contributed to introducing the customer contribution from 1 July 2025:
- Rise in staff costs: Repeated overshooting of the pivot index caused wages to rise sharply in a short period of time.
- DCO Beerse vzw is a social organisation. This translates into a very people-oriented personnel policy for our employees:
- Strong pay package: our domestic workers enjoy ééone of the best pay packages in the industry. Besides a correct hourly wage, we provide meal vouchers from the start of employment as well as an extra end-of-year bonus on top of those of the sector. We also provide an Easter, Christmas and New Year's gift.
- Education and training: we provide an extensive training offer for our domestic workers covering many different topics: First Aid, Assertiveness, Ergonomics, Stress Prevention,…
- Job coaching and guidance: Two job coaches work within DCO Beerse vzw who support the domestic workers as well as our clients. Both job coaches come to the home to guide our domestic workers and support clients with questions or comments.
- Increasing digitalisation: The continuous investment in ICT applications and digitalisation comes with additional costs.
The introduction of the customer contribution ensures that DCO Beerse vzw will be able to continue to exist in Beerse in the long term. We are ééone of the largest social employers in the Beerse region (+/- 275 domestic workers).
As an autonomous company, we pride ourselves on our unique structure: we have no shareholders expecting dividends, our board of directors is made up entirely of dedicated volunteers, and all proceeds flow directly back to our employees.
Amount of customer contribution
The contribution will be calculated per hour of household help performed and invoiced quarterly (every 3 months).
This contribution amounts to:
- 2.2 euros per hour worked
- If payment via direct debit you will receive a discount of 0.2 euro per hour worked.
- This contribution amounts to:
- 2.2 euro per hour worked.
The system of billing per hour performed ensures that clients who enjoy many hours of household help pay more than clients who enjoy only a few hours of household help.
As a social employer anchored in Beerse, we distinguish ourselves through our personal approach. You, as a client, will see this reflected in:
- The permanent household help who comes to you, and whom we support so that she can stay with you long-term.
- Direct contact with our office in Beerse, where you are known and we know you personally.
- Our job coaches who you can ask for advice and guidance if you wish.
- Flexibility in adjusting your schedule or finding replacements.
- The short lines of communication between you, your household help and our office through our new app that will be launched soon.
We are proud that many of our clients and domestic helpers have been with us for years - some even since our inception. These long-term relationships are proof to us that our approach works.
On our website you can find under Frequently-asked-questions & answers / FAQ | DCO Beerse more information about the introduction of the customer contribution.
