A new month, a new newsletter.
The month of May will hopefully bring with it the beautiful summer weather after a cold and wet spring.
In this edition, we revisit the new labour regulations as well as highlight some practical arrangements.
In this month of May there are 3 public holidays on which there will be no work as well as the office will be closed those days:
1 May, 9 May and 20 May 2024. Be sure to note this in your diaries:

Recently, the new Labour Regulations have been approved.
On 11 April 2024, this has already been communicated digitally with the labour regulations attached.
The labour regulations can be accessed on the employee portal as well as any employee can come and collect a paper version from the office.
An important new feature is that all domestic workers will receive an advance payment from May 2024. This is a legal requirement.
The advance will be deposited by the 20th of the month at the latest and can be up to 300€
.
From DCO Beerse vzw we provide work shoes for all our employees.
We have different models in stock at the office. If your work shoes are worn out, you can ask for a new pair at the office.
Employees who have to wear adapted footwear for medical reasons can get them provided the following procedure is respected:
We have been made aware that a lot of employees still wear work clothes with the old company logo on.
Since a few years, we have a new company logo and this has also been changed on the work clothes.
If you still wear work clothes with the old company logo, you can ask the office for work clothes with the new company logo on.
Sofie Bauweraerts, our human resources officer, resumes work on 30 April 2024 after a long period of maternity rest.
We will continue to use the e-mail address HR@dcobeerse.be to process all staff-related queries (wages, time credit, parental leave,…).
Every month, every employee has to visit the office at least ééonce to pick up their schedules and other documents and issue paper cheques.
From June 2024, we will be working with schedules per month and no longer every fortnight.
Summer holidays are quietly approaching. We would like to once again bring to your attention that major leave must be notified to the office by 31 May at the latest.
Major leave is considered to be any leave of absence of at least 5 consecutive holiday days in the months of July and August.
Importantly, you should inform your clients yourself that you are taking holiday and do so at least 5 working days prior to the holiday date.
Regular education and training is important for yourself. From DCO Beerse vzw, we encourage training and the training hours count as hours worked!

Since the beginning of 2024, our recruitment campaign ‘Samen Sterk‘ has been running.
If an employee brings on a new colleague, they will receive a financial reward of up to €375 gross.
